Registration closes on Friday, April 10th.

Step into a gentle, intentional reading experience where we move at the pace of presence not productivity.

Thanks to the suggestion and prompting of Nilajah Brown of Flourish Baltimore, the first book we will read in community is The Altar Within: A Devotional Guide to Liberation (Revised 2nd edition) by Juliet Diaz.

This is not simply a book club. This is a returning,

A return to:

  • ancestral wisdom that lives within and around us

  • spiritual practices that center intuition, land, and lineage

  • rituals that reconnect us to what has been disrupted or forgotten

  • collective care as a pathway to liberation

What Makes This Circle Different

We will practice slow reading—engaging the text not just with the mind, but with the body, breath, and spirit. Each session creates space to:

  • Savor small passages rather than rush through chapters

  • Pause for guided meditation, breathwork, or stillness

  • Reflect through journaling and intuitive inquiry

  • Share insights in a supportive, sacred community

  • Integrate the teachings into your everyday life

Who This Is For

This circle is for you if you are:

  • Craving a deeper connection to your intuition and inner voice

  • Deepening their connection to ancestral, intuitive and embodied wisdom

  • Seeking a softer, more intentional way to engage reading

  • Navigating a season of reflection, transition, or becoming

  • Being in community that is rooted in presence and care

  • Ready to explore your inner world as sacred ground

  • Explore liberation as both a personal and collective practice

Our Rhythm

Over the next six (6) months, each gathering will include:

  • Opening grounding or centering practice

  • Short, selected readings from the text

  • Gentle collective or breakout group sharing and witnessing

  • Guided journaling and reflection prompts

  • Closing rest practice

Our Intention

Together, we will explore the truth that:

You are not searching for something outside of yourself
You are remembering what has always lived within you.

This circle is an invitation

  • to rest, listen, reclaim and restore

  • to return to yourself

  • to tend to your inner alter

  • to honor your life as sacred
